taocoding.com sets no cookies and runs no analytics, ads or third-party scripts. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, and our hosting provider (Google Firebase Hosting) keeps standard request logs.

The desktop app

• Usage ping. Release builds send one anonymous event at launch and a heartbeat every five minutes, carrying a random id, the app version and the OS name — nothing else. No paths, no terminal content, no hostname. Full details and how to reset the id.
• Your account. Signing in stores your email, your name as the sign-in provider reports it, the method you used, and when you last opened the app online. Nothing about your projects, terminals or files. About your account.
• Your agents. Claude Code, Codex and the other CLIs talk to their own providers under your own accounts, exactly as they do in any terminal. TAO CODING does not read or forward that traffic.

Builds compiled from source contain neither the usage ping nor sign-in.
