Restore on launch
Quit TAO CODING (tray → Quit, a crash or a reboot) and the next launch reopens every workspace as you left it: names, folders, how the panes are split, which pane had focus, and each pane's agent, folder, shell and worktree. Agent panes resume the conversation they were in — Claude Code panes always know theirs (Claude's hook reports it, even after /clear or /resume); Codex, Qwen Code and OpenCode panes are matched to the newest session in their folder, but only when that is unambiguous. When two panes of the same agent share a folder and neither can be told apart, both start a new conversation rather than risk resuming the wrong one — the old ones are still in History Session. Plain Terminal panes open a fresh shell in the same folder; terminal scrollback, the Meeting Room, web previews and the Architecture tab's background agent are not restored.
Turn it off in Settings → General → Restore workspaces on launch; switching it off also forgets the saved workspaces.
